Antique American Glassware

On Sunday, February 16 at 1pm, Randy Wenhold will discuss antique American glassware at the society's 1892 Public School Building.

 Randy Wenhold is a collector of antique American glassware with a specific
interest in housewares produced in the 19th and early 20th centuries. He has
also studied the impact of Victorian era culture on the American home.

Randy attended Temple University as both an undergraduate and graduate
student and holds degrees in American history and economics and taught at
Temple as an adjunct instructor.

Randy will be speaking on the types of American glassware of the American
Victorian period including Early American Pattern Glass, American Brilliant Period
Glass, and Carnival Glass along with the development and importance of
American glass making in the industrialization of America and the role of
glassware in the middle class family.

Randy lives in Upper Macungie Township Lehigh County with his wife Darlene.
